Sara Anderholm


Sara Anderholm was born and raised just outside of Boston, MA. She started lessons at age six and was trained classically while also embracing other musical styles and genres. She started teaching, accompanying, and writing 12 years ago and hasn’t stopped since. Moving to Anchorage in 2009 she continued to develop her musical skills through completing her Bachelor’s of Music Education degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage studying under Dr. Timothy Smith. Sara is currently on the board of the Anchorage Keyboard Teaching Association, a participant of the Alaskan Songwriter Association, and can be found accompanying, performing, and teaching in Anchorage and Eagle River.


Molly Buttars


Molly Buttars began the dual study of piano and violin at age 6. Over time, she branched out to organ and viola. She attended Brigham Young University - Idaho on an organ scholarship, where she studied under the direction of Dr. Daniel Kerr. She continued her viola education concurrently, taking private lessons with Dr. Lisa Mcniven and Dr. Kevin Call, and playing in the university symphony orchestra and baroque ensemble under the direction of Dr. Robert Tueller. She lives in Anchorage, Alaska, where she teaches piano, violin, viola, and organ. She is the music director and organist at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. She plays viola in the Anchorage Bowl Chamber Orchestra and the Anchorage Civic Orchestra. Molly believes that there is music inside everyone, and more than what people give themselves credit for. She is a firm critic of talent, and believes in the value of hard work, dedication, and guileless enjoyment.
